Deacon Melissa Wafer-Cross of Lubbock has announced her relocation to Santa Rosa, California, to be closer to her two young grandsons. Following the death of her husband, David, the previous fall, she reflects on the transition of leaving her Lubbock home of 33 years and sorting through 46 years of marriage memories.

She expresses deep gratitude for the steadfast friendship and presence of the diocesan community through both joys and sorrows over the years.
