"A Tapestry of Love" is a reflection by the Rev. Bob Hennigan, rector of [[news-3216041|Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Midland]], published on September 1, 2026, and written by Leann Wigner.

The Pink Shell

Following his father's death and cremation in Florida, the Rev. Hennigan found a pink shell on the beach. Though his family never met his father, this shell became a tangible generational connection:

  • Family Baptisms: He used the shell to baptize his youngest daughter and three of his grandchildren.
  • Lilian Grace: On August 23, 2026, he baptized his newest granddaughter, Lilian Grace, using the shell.

Tapestry Poem

The piece features a poem Hennigan wrote reflecting on his life as a tapestry woven in "the colors of love, / The colors of God," where family, friends, and everyday individuals are recognized alongside historical saints and martyrs as "saints of God."
