Calling All Foodies: Persian Food Date Night Fundraiser at Canterbury

Join Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry at Texas Tech on March 25 at 6pm for our Persian Food Date Night Fundraiser. One of our Iranian students and our chaplain will be cooking Persian Food. The menu includes the following:

Appetizer: Kashke Bademjan (Persian Eggplant Dip with Pitas and Veggies)

Entrée: Saffron Infused Chicken and Carrot Stew with Plums Served on Rice

Dessert: Persian Saffron Rice Pudding (Sholeh Zard)

Drinks: Water, Tea, Red Wine, White Wine, IPA Beer, or Soda

Dinner will also include live music and free childcare. Childcare will last from 5:45pm-10:00pm and will be held in the St. Paul's nursery across the street from Canterbury. While we call this a "date night," we encourage groups of friends and loved ones to sign up. Any size of group can be accommodated up to 16 people.

Spots are limited, so sign up fast! To sign up, call the chaplain at 575-631-5345. Dinner is $50 per person. All proceeds will benefit Canterbury Episcopal Campus Ministry and will help us to go on a retreat to San Antonio this summer.

April 15: Colombian Food (A Sneak Peek)

Our Colombian Faculty Advisor and his wife will be cooking Colombian Food. Don't worry: Colombian food is not spicy. The menu includes the following:

Appetizer: Mini Cheesy Arepas with Ahogado Sauce  

Entrée: Colombian Chicken Sancocho served with White Rice, Avocado, Cilantro, and Lime

Dessert: Temptations Plantains with Queso Fresco

Drinks: Water, Tea, Red Wine, White Wine, Lager-Style Beer, or Soda
