Hello everyone!
I am so excited to be the new administrative assistant to Elizabeth Jones and Anna Mora in the Diocesan office. My husband Julian and I have been members of St. Stephen’s in Lubbock since 2012. In the past, I have served on the Vestry, been a Eucharistic Minister, choir member, and served as a team lead for St. Benedict’s Chapel. I graduated from the EfM program in 2020. I currently serve on the Altar Guild and have recently joined our new Bell Choir!
My professional experience in administration started as an Associate Buyer for Michael’s Stores for six years and a Purchasing Manager for Ingersoll-Rand for four years. I then moved into the medical field as an insurance coder and biller. I have spent the last ten years in medical administration serving as office manager for multiple practices. My most recent experience was with Grace Clinic in Lubbock as an insurance authorization specialist.
An incredibly special calling for me is working with people who have substance use disorders. I presently work with ladies at a sober living house, helping them to transition back to becoming healthy, independent, and functioning members of society.
I am a “collector” of stray animals and Julian, my husband, humors and helps me. At this time, we have four dogs and one cat. I want a gecko, but that has been tabled as of our last meeting.
I have only been the administrative assistant since August 1st, but already feel I am part of a family. I am loving this new role and am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve our diocese!
