St. Matthew's Episcopal Day School - Texas Rising Star Certified

St. Matthew’s Episcopal Day School in Pampa was required to implement a new program (for us it was new) called the Texas Rising Star (TRS). This program helps the school with funding and recommendations from the state. We are ranked on a scale of 1 through 4-Stars, 4-Star being the highest you can receive. 

The observers came and sat in our classroom’s (10 of them) for an hour and a half, evaluating each teacher, classroom, and school administration. 

We were judged on administrational management, classroom management, curriculum, classroom visuals, teaching, interactions with children, etc. 

We “came on board” the last week of March with a 4-STAR Rating!  This is unheard of, per our state representative, for anyone to come on as a 4-Star. It usually takes a few years for a program to reach a 4-Star rating. 

The children and I are so very blessed with an amazing staff that loves St. Matt’s as much as I do! We are so blessed to be able to pull off a 4-Star rating…“right out of the gate!!”
